Explanation
Technical SEO is not the reason why more than 90% of websites never get any SEO results…
- Poor content planning is.
- In most cases, there is no content planning at all actually.
- And while keyword research and content planning may seem boring…
- It’s the single highest ROI activity you can ever focus on as an SEO.
You see, if you get content planning right, you’ll be blessed with:
→ Owning an evergreen traffic channel,
→ Buyers that will keep rolling in, no matter if you’re spending money or not,
→ The first mover’s advantage (if you’re not first, you’re last)
Since the vast majority of not only company marketing managers but also SEOs get this wrong…
Let me explain how to do it right. (scroll down)
Here’s the written process explanation:
- Write down all of your main root collection & product target keywords.
- Open Ahrefs Keyword Explorer & enter the root keyword/s
- Then click on “Matching Terms”, and adjust the include modifiers, and voila, you now have a list of thousands of keywords.
- Exclude the first 20 pages of irrelevant keywords,
- Set the volume filter to a minimum of 10 search volume,
- Export all the keywords,
- Enter the keywords into a clustering tool,
- Remove all of the irrelevant keywords that can’t be turned into an article,
- Sort remaining clusters into SILOs (groups of 10/15 articles relevant to each other)
- Understand the intent behind every target keyword
- Write an article better than your competitors that helps the reader with their goal
- Interlink all of the articles in the same SILO with each other.
This is the go-to process we’ve been using for years and dominating the SEO industry because of it.
